Overview

Digital transformation is driving change across all industries, and accounting and bookkeeping firms are no exception. 80% of small businesses are or will be using the cloud to conduct and manage their business by the end of 2020. Candidates with QuickBooks Online skills are seen to be bringing innovation and knowledge by employers. Quickbooks course provides LIVE online instruction on how to set up QuickBooks for small businesses. Students will learn about the data they need to track in their business and will become familiar with the most common tasks required, as well as the more advanced functions of the software.

Designed for the non-accounting expert, this course will focus on the skill set needed for typical daily business transactions. Accounting fundamentals are also provided for reference and review purposes. You will learn and apply these skills using practical hands-on exercises such as:

  • Setting up a company
  • Entering transactions to the general ledger
  • Managing receivables and payables
  • Generating reports

Students will learn how to create company files and deal with more advanced tasks for receivables, payables, inventory and payroll. Upon completion of Quickbooks course, students will be advanced QuickBooks users and will be fully prepared to write the Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Examination.

Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Examination

QuickBooks Certified User Certification exams are components of Intuit’s QuickBooks Certification Program endorsed by Intuit Education. The exams are computer-based assessments of knowledge, competencies, and skills related to disciplines such as Implementation and/or Maintenance and include both knowledge based questions like multiple choice & matching and performance based formats. Successful completion of the examination validates a student’s QuickBooks knowledge and makes them an Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU), which is the best way to communicate their QuickBooks skills and expertise with potential employers. The QuickBooks Certified User Examination includes 50 simulation-based questions and a candidate has up to 50 minutes to complete the exam.

Note: The Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Examination is not included in the cost of the course and is not mandatory.
