Jabeen Boga Ashton College InstructorJabeen Boga is a Human Resources professional with over ten years of progressive experience across a wide variety of human resources functions that include employee relations, performance management, change management, HRIS, health and safety and total rewards. In addition to this, she is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) with responsibility for offices that span across Western Canada.

 

 

Rachael D’Silva

Rachael D’Silva Ashton College InstructorRachael D’Silva is a Human Resources Professional with 15 years of experience working in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Occupational Health & Safety and Payroll. She has spent the last five years researching and incorporating Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion programs into the workplace. While she provides full spectrum HR support, she sees herself as an HR Specialist passionate about inclusion, belonging and safety, supporting businesses in the private and non-profit sectors. She is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), an SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women.

 

 

Vy Luu

Vy Luu Ashton College InstructorVy, pronounced as ‘vee’ is passionate about building leaders who nurture people to show up with their best selves, and in turn, create their best work. The decades of work in business, people, and technology enables Vy to bring stories from start-ups to mature corporations in her class facilitation. She believes that continuous learning inspires new thinking. Vy credits a big part of her successes to career studies. She holds designations; SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), along with certifications in change management, occupational health, and psychological safety leadership.

 

 

Christine Palak

Christine Palak Ashton College InstructorA community-minded, socially engaged, Chartered Professional in Human Resources, Christine is working towards her Master of Arts in Leadership through Royal Roads University and comes with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from The British Columbia Institute of Technology. Christine is also a Certified Coach Practitioner and an SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Christine has worked in human resources within the financial services, high-tech software, entertainment & gaming, and most recently manufacturing industries rounding out her experience and finding her passion in training, employee engagement, labour relations and coaching & development.

 

Required Materials

Set of four SHRM Certifications Textbooks (Print or Online versions) 2023 edition. Registration also includes the online and print versions of the 2023 SHRM Learning System—the official cert prep tool, now updated with questions previously used on actual SHRM Certification exams. Designed specifically for adult learners, this interactive system provides a personalized roadmap that combines in-depth HR knowledge with real-life situations to help you master the material and set you up for success on your exam.
