Zdenka Acin

Zdenka ACIN holds a philosophy degree from the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Philosophy. She is the President and Founder of Immigration International, and an accomplished author with two published books focusing on film, theatre, and literature in exile. With a passion for writing, Zdenka is also a poet, short story writer, and essayist. Her talents extend to acting, being a full member of ACTRA, as well as a well-travelled researcher and documentary filmmaker, having visited over 60 countries worldwide.

In her former country, Yugoslavia, Zdenka was a prominent human rights activist, editor-in-chief, journalist, TV author, and host of the talk show PRESS Club. She is a designated Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and a recognized expert in immigration, refugee, and citizenship law. With a deep commitment to education, Zdenka has received awards for Excellence in Teaching and serves as a mentor for newly licensed immigration consultants.

Throughout her career, Zdenka has worked closely with institutions like the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) since 2003, providing her with valuable insight into immigration and refugee processes within these organizations. As a student-centred and student-oriented educator for more than a decade, Zdenka shares her passion with her students at Ashton College

Zdenka, a proud mother of two sons and grandmother of four, currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.
