In the past, I spent time working as an instructor at the university level, an IT consultant, and a Visa Information Officer for an embassy. While I was happy with my position at the embassy, I wanted a more autonomous lifestyle. I wanted to be my own boss and be the one developing and implementing strategies. I had always been interested in international education, and decided to pursue an Immigration Consulting diploma. I wanted to be able to advise students on their visa and travel options and felt it would be a valuable credential in the industry.
After I graduated from Ashton’s Immigration Consultant Diploma program I co-founded my own immigration consulting firm, Canada Immigration Partner and went to work as the CEO of ARV Canada College. As the College’s CEO, my days now consist of developing marketing strategies, researching potential program ideas, and meetings with students, staff and faculty. My immigration firm is also thriving, and I plan to expand the business within the next five years.
“I’ve really branched out professionally over the past three years, and hope to continue to do so. This diploma opened a lot of doors for me, and has allowed me to take control of my career, and my future.”
I have been honored to be invited by my former instructors to speak to current Immigration Consultant program students on numerous occasions. I always tell students the same thing. Everything you need to know will be covered during this program. Your job is to apply yourself, to know the information inside and out, and to take advantage of the opportunity that is now in front of you.
