The term Minimalism is defined as a design or style in which the simplest and fewest elements are used to create the maximum effect. Minimalism had its origins in the arts with artwork featuring simple lines, only a few colours and careful placement of those lines and colours. Recently, it has become representative of a lifestyle that aims to remove clutter from all facets of life.

Karen Broda is a Body and Mind Transformation Coach for women with ADHD. She has an extensive background in optimizing individuals’ well-being, from strengthening their physical and mental bodies to cultivating a simpler environment. She helps women remove the mental and physical clutter to make intentional and aligned choices every day.
Karen began simplifying her life in 2015 after a backpacking trip when she then realized she could experience joy with just the belongings on her back. She did another life simplification and downsized in 2020 with a move to the west coast where she built her 200 sq ft tiny home that she currently resides.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Certified Personal Trainer. She also has a strong public speaking and coaching background.

Live Online Students
Ashton College uses web conferencing tools for conducting online classes and online learning management systems for managing resources, assignments, and grades. These tools help instructors and students connect live online as well as asynchronously. The basic requirements for online learning include a computer, webcam, speakers, and a microphone or a headset and headphones, along with a reliable internet connection. Though online learning can be pursued using smartphones and tablets, the use of laptops or desktop computers is encouraged for an enhanced learning experience.
This course does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. As such, it was not reviewed.
