Amazon manages a set of AWS certifications that are designed to help cloud computing professionals validate their skills and to help employers find suitable employees. There are four different categories of AWS certifications: Foundational, Associate, Professional, and Speciality.
The Foundational category houses the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. This certification serves as the entry point for AWS professionals and it covers general AWS practices. You do not need to have a Cloud Practitioner certificate to attain higher-level AWS certifications, but it is recommended. Amazon also suggests having six months of AWS experience before attempting the exam for this certification.
The Associate category is for intermediate certifications and in this category are the Solutions Architect – Associate, SysOps Administrator, and Developer certifications. Amazon recommends having one year of AWS experience before attempting the exam for any of these certifications.
The Professional category is the expert certification tier, with Amazon recommending at least two years of experience in AWS before attempting these certification exams. In this category are the Solutions Architect – Professional, and DevOps Engineer certifications.
The Specialty category is for advanced technical AWS skills that do not fit into the other categories. Certifications in this category include Security, Advanced Networking, Machine Learning, Alexa Skill Builder, Data Analytics, and Database.
Our AWS Certification Training Basics course focuses on knowledge and skills covered under the Cloud Practitioner certification and the Security certification.
Our AWS courses are taught by AWS certified instructors. Learning from an AWS certified cloud computing professional will better prepare you for the certification exam, and it will expedite the learning process. The knowledge learned in this course will be directly applicable to the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Exam.
None, however, Cloud computing course at Ashton college is recommended. Students should have a basic understanding of cloud computing terminology and components as well as basic understanding of security.

The Canadian College of Health Information Management (College) is the national organization for certified health information professionals and specialists in Canada. The College requires all professional members to complete continuing professional education (CPE) activities as an integral part of their membership. This course is eligible for 15 CPE units.

Live Online Students
Ashton College uses web conferencing tools to help instructors and students connect and collaborate live online. For the online classes, students need to have a fully functional computer system with a webcam, speakers and microphone or headset and headphones, along with a reliable high-speed internet connection. Though the classes can be accessed using smartphones and tablets, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer for a better learning experience.
This course does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training. As such, it was not reviewed.
