Personal branding is the practice of people marketing themselves and their careers as brands. In the last few years it grew from just being a “buzz word” to a must have secret ingredient needed for all job seekers. The goal of personal branding is to leave “unique and memorable” impression on somebody and to stand out from the rest of the group.

How to build your brand?

1. Start by identifying your core values.

2. Write a paragraph emphasizing your specialty and your key talents, including your most important passions and skills.

3. Prepare a 30 second branding statement.

Branding statement will help other people remember you .For example when I attend networking events and people ask me what I do, I say I am a Career Doctor- I cure career pain. Creating your brand is an ongoing process and the most important thing to remember is to be confident and to believe in your brand. Once you do that, others will start believing in you as well. So for the ones out there who are looking to create a personal brand no more excuses, Just do it!
