Temor, Heelai
Heelai Temor has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Behavioural Science with Honours from Humber College, and has recently completed her Bachelor of Professional Studies (Primary/Junior) from Niagara University. She has been working in the education sector for the past ten years after getting her start working as a private tutor within schools. She then worked with two private colleges in a student support role and gained experience assisting resource students in a high school setting. Currently, Heelai is a teacher with the Peel District School Board and has been working with grade four students as a homeroom teacher for the past two years. Her teaching philosophy is to connect with her students and their families. She believes that this is vital in establishing a safe and positive working environment that is culturally responsive and supportive of all learners.
