She is an accomplished Red Seal Certified Baker, recognized for her expertise in artisan pastries and international desserts. As the former owner and chef of Baker and Table Café in Vancouver, Hitomi established a renowned destination for unique Japanese-inspired treats. She previously worked at prestigious establishments, such as the Four Seasons and Pan Pacific Hotels, where she earned numerous accolades, including a gold medal at the EAT! Vancouver Chocolate Showpiece Competition and recognition as Employee of the Year.
An advocate for lifelong learning and sharing knowledge, Hitomi holds a Provincial Instructor Diploma from Vancouver Community College and has mentored students to success in competitive baking events. Her teaching focuses on fostering creativity, precision, and industry readiness among aspiring bakers.
