Rochester, Diana

Diana Rochester has over five years of experience in the mental health field, spanning across Alberta and British Columbia, and is in the final stages of completing a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. She is currently in the latter months of a practicum with a local health authority as part of the Mental Health and Substance Use department. In this role, she provides individual counselling, co-facilitates psychoeducational groups, and integrates evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.

Diana has gained professional experience through positions supporting children, youth, and families, and has held roles such as Developmental Specialist, Child Development Worker, and Youth and Family Counsellor. Services delivered in these positions have included supporting the psychological and social needs of children, youth, and families; promoting child development; and providing patient-centred counselling.

Additionally, she has unique experience working with Indigenous and neurodivergent communities, as well as individuals affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

In her spare time, Diana enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors of the Okanagan Region and also likes to stay in to read or watch reality TV series—often reflecting on the mental health insights that can be applied to the cast members.
