Parizeau, Annick
Annick has an undergrad in Human Services and has been working with vulnerable populations across the mental health and social services field for 20+ years. She believes in a person-centred lens, where individuals are the experts in their recovery, and honours that everyone has a story. Currently, Annick is a contractor providing Prevention, Outreach and Community Engagement for Gambling Support BC. She connects and builds relationships with communities while bringing an awareness to the concerns related to gambling, video gaming and social media. She strives in helping people find balance. She is passionate about decreasing stigma and increasing mental health awareness. Annick is looking forward to teaching and sharing her experiences with students who are pursuing the mental health and addictions field. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, relaxing by the lake, gardening, and travelling.
