Peun Napier is a certified Health Information Management (CHIM) professional based in Kingston, Ontario, with experience spanning acute care, regulation, and post-secondary education since 2013. Originally from Toronto, she holds a BA in English and History from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the Health Information Management program at George Brown College.
Peun began her career as an Analyst at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and as a Senior Analyst at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, focusing on complex inpatient and surgical coding and investigative case files, while mentoring coding staff and analysts. She later moved into leadership in Information Governance, where she led a multi-year digitization initiative and developed a comprehensive Information Governance Program, including policy, privacy, security, records management, and training.
She has presented at conferences and provided corporate-wide training and education, which she enjoyed and which led her to pursue a career opportunity in teaching and supporting others’ educational journeys.
