Derrick Mo has extensive knowledge in the financial services industry and practiced in various banking, financial planning, and investment management capacities. Derrick holds several industry certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Accredited Financial Modeller (AFM) and completed many professional business programs such as accounting, business analysis, project management, and etc. Derrick holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto with double majors in Financial Engineering and Risk Management and Investment Banking and is studying part-time towards his second master degree in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. Derrick is passionate in teaching and has provided numerous lecture series and speeches in financial and investment related topics. Derrick is an active contributor to the wealth and asset management community and has been serving as a mentor at a CFA Society’s Mentorship program since 2017. Derrick also participated in the CFP exam review session where he provided his feedback on CFP exam questions to FP Canada and served as a curriculum reviewing member and a CFA Level 3 exam grader at CFA Institute. Last but not the least, Derrick loves reading, playing chess and piano in his spare time.
