Fred is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and Managing Director & Partner at an immigration practice firm in Richmond, BC. In addition to his experience as an RCIC, he has over 10 years of experience working as a Paralegal for various leading Canadian National law firms. The areas of law that he worked in were civil litigation, labour & employment, human rights, family, criminal, corporate, contract, insolvency and alternative dispute resolution.

After obtaining his Paralegal Diploma from Capilano University and many years of working in different areas of law, Fred decided that Immigration Law was his true passion. He obtained his Certificate from the UBC Immigration Practitioner Program in 2011 and has been a practicing member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).

Given Fred’s vast experience in working for one of Canada’s leading law firms, he has extensive experience specializing in Hearings & Appeals before the Immigration & Refugee Board of Canada, Immigration Investigations that are before the Canada Border Services Agency, Humanitarian & Compassionate applications, Family Class applications, various Skilled Worker applications that are applied through Express Entry or Provincial Nominee programs, Work & Study permit applications, Criminal Rehabilitation, Medical Inadmissibility, Citizenship applications, various Business Immigration applications and preparing Judicial Review applications before the Federal Court of Canada.

In addition to Fred’s immigration practice, he is a member of the Practical Experience Advisory Committee for the regulatory body, ICCRC which regulates all RCICs on a national level. Fred is also an avid volunteer and occasionally volunteers for non-profit organizations such as the Immigrant Services Society of BC and Access Pro Bono. He is fluent in Cantonese and currently studying Mandarin.
