Kinghorn, Brieanne

Brieanne Kinghorn is Certified in Health Information Management (CHIM) by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. She is currently a Data Quality and Clinical Documentation Integrity (DQ/CDI) Specialist, where she works with a diverse team of coders in pursuit of creating meaningful data from medical information. Brieanne uses her problem-solving skills and extensive coding knowledge to complete abstracts from various acute care sites. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Victoria.

Her passion for this career extends into multiple disciplines, including data analytics, database management, and coding. As an instructor, she aims to help shape the forward thinkers and collaborators of tomorrow, so they can go on to impactful careers in health information management. In her spare time, Brieanne is an avid reader and crafter. She often finds herself teaching friends, coworkers, and family how to knit and crochet.
