Renso, Kevin M.E.T

Growing up in Burnaby, Surrey, and now living the cold/wet seasons the Aldergrove B.C. area, Kevin Renso collected a general business/communication/tech bachelor's degree, collecting credits at both Kwantlen Polytechnic University and University College of the Fraser Valley.  As a student, Kevin would take evening classes in “whatever his corporate tuition reimbursement program would pay for” – business, computer science, or communications related (collecting credits), and after graduation from UCFV – completed a Master’s degree in educational technology at the University of Calgary, 2011.

After graduate school, Kevin came back to UFV and started teaching lower level classes in computer science, education and career planning, and business.  Today, Kevin teaches at UFV and Ashton College, mostly computer science/business courses while also working in the corporate world traveling around North America “collecting an early retirement”.  Kevin loves teaching – but hates working, and plans to semi-retire sometime soon, but seems to find reasons and projects for working longer than he would have liked.

We wouldn’t call Kevin an American, but he’s as “red, white, and blue-blooded” as a Canadian-American could get with an ocean front vacation home on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State where his beautiful wife, twin daughters, son, and purebred Silver-Tip Persian show-cat enjoy the refreshing ocean air – until Kevin is forced to return to Canada to teach!  Kevin spends a lot of time (and money) supporting domestic animals in Western Canada, and his cat has become an unofficial mascot for all his course offerings.
