Sofia Hamayun is a Licensed Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB) and the Head of the Immigration Department at Lexaltico LLP, a multifaceted law firm with offices in Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, and North York. She practices exclusively in immigration and refugee law, with extensive experience representing clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the Federal Court. Her work includes refugee claims, appeals, humanitarian and compassionate applications, spousal and family sponsorships, permanent residence obligations, and economic immigration programs.
Since becoming licensed in 2019 after graduating with honours from Humber College’s Immigration Consultant program, Sofia has built her practice on strong advocacy and client-centered service. She also holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights and Equity Studies, with a specialization in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from York University, combining a strong academic foundation with practical legal experience.
At Lexaltico LLP, Sofia leads the firm’s immigration practice, managing complex cases and providing strategic guidance to clients from diverse backgrounds. She also collaborates with NGOs and community organizations to support refugees and newcomers across Canada.
