Raquel Gomez is a healthcare professional with over 20 years experience, focusing on Health Information Management and regulatory compliance, including privacy, quality, and risk management for both public and private healthcare organizations. Currently, she serves as a Privacy Manager for the Government of Ontario, where she offers expertise in privacy and data protection for complex provincial healthcare projects aimed at implementing digital solutions that alleviate administrative burdens on physicians, ultimately enhancing the quality of care and patient outcomes. Raquel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from TMU with a major in HIM, possesses CHIMA certifications (CHIM/CCDIS), and has recently earned her CIPP/C certification. She is passionate about mentoring and sharing knowledge with the next generation of HIM professionals and is excited about her involvement with Ashton College, where she can inspire and support aspiring healthcare leaders.
