Reporting to the Senior Online Support Technician, this opportunity will be most enjoyed by a technologically savvy individual who also has a passion for online learning. The successful individual will work on a tech savvy team and be responsible for monitoring and providing support within our live online learning (webinar) environment for both staff and students alike.

Technical Proficiency: comfortable using a computer for multiple tasks and familiar with common issues and their resolutions.
Communication skills: able to give concise and simple instructions, responses, and requests.

Problem solving skills: able to efficiently assess an issue, develop and implement solutions.
Able to be flexible with scheduling.
Able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Able to adapt to new software and procedures quickly.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Familiarity with G Suite apps (Drive, Gmail) and Google Classroom is an asset.
Familiarity with Zoom or Microsoft Teams is an asset.
Duties and responsibilities:
Creates, maintains, and organizes online learning environments.
Troubleshoots technical inquiries from instructors and students.
Communicates with students with various levels of English proficiency.
Monitors and maintains online webinar sessions.
Finds innovative and simpler ways to improve procedures and student experience.
Sets up and manages accounts for students.
Trains new faculty on how to use the learning tools efficiently.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work hours: 11:30am – 8:30pm (depending on the classes being run), Monday to Friday with a one-hour unpaid meal break. 40 hours per week.
