And the need for qualified trained technology professionals is not slowing down, with more and more skills shortages starting to emerge, now is the time to get into the IT field. According to Randstad’s Top 15 Jobs Trending in Canada 2022 report, three of the top 15 jobs in Canada 2022 are in the IT workspace: IT project manager, developer, and cloud architect. Randstad also points out the landscape of trending jobs in Canada may be different than what we have seen prior to the pandemic. For example, industries with major growth include health care, the service sector, and technology, but some of the best jobs are those that can support business in multiple industries such as a key account manager, marketing manager, and cloud professionals. One of the best roles you can get with CompTIA A+ certification is a field service technician or network technician. A field service technician is responsible for providing on-site end-user assistance, maintenance, programming, installation, and more. This line of work requires you to be constantly on the move, and you would need to be comfortable being on your feet and running around to different sites all day long.
Network engineers design, build and maintain networks that allow data to be transferred between systems, people and workflows. Similar roles include network administrator and network analyst.
Cloud architects design, build and oversee the various features that make up the cloud computing and networking environment. Cloud architects must be able to understand business requirements and their relationship to technical requirements to be able to translate documents into practical designs and support employees, customers, and the organization.
The role of an IT project manager involves development, implementation, and other aspects of IT. IT project managers often have development or analyst experience, but coding is not necessary to earn one of these top jobs.
