Join us for a Live Online Info Session about our Certificate in Quebec Immigration Law course with instructor Steven Johnston, who will answer your questions live. Ashton College staff will also be available to advise and answer your questions about admissions and other general questions about the course.

This is an advanced certificate in Quebec Immigration Law to be delivered to anyone wanting more in-depth knowledge about the Quebec Immigration system.

The intent of the advanced certificate in Quebec Immigration Law is to provide a history of Quebec Immigration; the Canada-Quebec Accord; the ability of Quebec to select foreign nationals for temporary and permanent entry to Quebec; the unique role of the Ministere de l’Immigration, de la Diversite et de l’Inclusion (MIDI); an overview and analysis of Quebec Immigration pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), the Quebec Immigration Act(QIA), and Quebec Immigration Regulations (QIR); a review of the relevant forms and case law.

Meet the Instructor: Steven Johnston

Steven Johnston has extensive experience working in the immigration field within the Canadian government. Throughout his government experience and private practice, Steven has assisted thousands of individuals with their permanent and temporary immigration challenges. As a consultant, Steven specializes in sponsorships, work permits, permanent residencies, business immigration, and doing for Labor Market Impact Assessments for employers wanting to hire foreign workers. He also has experience in assisting people with visitor visas and renewals or study permits and is an expert on the Québec Investor Program and the Québec Skilled Worker Program. He is a proud graduate of the University of Ottawa and Université du Québec à Montréal. Steven is excited to share his passion for immigration law by helping and inspiring his students.
