Join us for a live online info session with Cynthia Ellacott , instructor for our certificate in accounting program. Ashton College team members will also be available to advise and answer your questions about admissions and other general questions about the program.

The Certificate in Accounting program offers students the opportunity to obtain a thorough understanding of accounting techniques and practices and how to apply them in both manual and computerized environments. Emphasis is placed on the development of accounting skills using practical, hands-on training techniques. This program is designed for individuals who have no knowledge of accounting as well as those who are currently working in an accounting role.

Meet the Instructor: Cynthia Ellacott 

Cynthia Ellacott, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who has worked to enhance both large and small business by reviewing processes and making recommendations for changes. She has been working in the accounting field since she was a teenager in her family business. She started doing ledger accounting when she was thirteen before the start of accounting programs. She received her accounting designation in 2000.

Cynthia had worked in many organizations from construction companies owned by her family, to real estate companies (Intrawest Blackcomb), private schools and medical clinics. Currently, Cynthia is working as a Public Accountant, supporting charities and startup companies, and doing personal and corporate taxes.
