Patrick Fowler (bow tie) poses with his team as they celebrate their victory.

We work hard at Ashton College to provide you with top of the line education opportunities. It is our mission to change lives and part of that mission is encouraging a rich and full life when you are not engulfed in course directed life. The same directives are given to our staff members. We encourage hobbies and activities outside of work life in the hopes that they live a rich and full life.

Ashton College’s Director of Student Administration, Patrick Fowler is an avid Yachtsman. With his team, Patrick competes in races in various Vancouver waters.

Last Friday, November 20, 2013, Patrick and his crew attended the Vancouver Area Racing Council (VARC) awards dinner. They were awarded several awards on the magical night. The crew mans the L’Aristo, which is a thirty-foot Jeanneau based at of the Deep Cove Yacht Club. It is owned by Craig Bassett, Tal Balagno and Kim Goodman. The crew sponsor is Martin Marine.

Patrick and his team won the following awards:

  • 1st in Distance Series
  • 1st in Regatta Series
  • 1st in Division 6.

We invite you to give Patrick a call and ask him a few questions about life on the sea and Yachting specifically. He’s happy to chat about things he is passionate about. We want everyone to have a balanced life and succeed inside and outside of Ashton’s walls.

Congratulations to Patrick and the L’Aristo team and their fantastic wins!
