Alumni Miho Shimizu and Matthew Sell are Making Canadian Dreams Come True

Our marketing and communications team recently had the pleasure of catching up with alumni Miho Shimizu and Matthew Sell, founders of Canadian Immigration Partners. This powerhouse husband and wife duo have helped hundreds of people make their Canadian immigration dreams into reality. When they founded Canadian Immigration Partners, their goal was to help people navigate the many twists and turns of immigrating to Canada. The pair can relate with genuine compassion and insight since they both went through the experience of immigrating to Canada many years prior. Get to know Miho Shimizu

Before becoming a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), she assisted more than 2,000 foreign workers a year through the Student Work Abroad Program (SWAP). Her six years as Western Canada Regional Manager of SWAP saw her act as the principal contact with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). She also successfully provided career coaching services to foreign workers in Canada. Outside of work, Miho has been a dedicated yoga student since 2007. She enjoys Bikram Yoga (known as hot yoga) and balances her work, family and personal lifestyle.

Get to know Matthew Sell

Matthew Sell, born in Nottingham, graduated from Oxford University, England, in 2002, where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He worked as an analyst for a technology-based investment bank before immigrating to Canada. Matthew has experience in all federal and provincial programs, including investor and entrepreneur classes. He assists Canadian employers in their applications for LMIA’s and ICT work permits. He specializes in BC PNP skilled worker and Business programs. Matthew loves downhill mountain biking and winter sports. You will find him regularly enjoying his outdoor lifestyle in the North Shore and Whistler.
