Ashton College was honored to welcome MLA Mable Elmore as our Keynote Speaker. Miss Elmore has represented the Vancouver-Kensington riding since 2009, when she made history by becoming the first MLA of Filipino descent. Miss Elmore's speech focused on the importance of believing in yourself and working hard to achieve your educational, career and personal goals.

Based on faculty evaluations completed by students, the Faculty Award was presented to Immigration Consulting instructor Shawn Bowden. Students agreed that Mr. Bowden demonstrates a sense of leadership within the school community and exhibits a positive and professional attitude.

The award is presented to a student who has overcome obstacles and made extraordinary sacrifices in order to achieve their academic goals. In a happy coincidence, Efren and Mildred each nominated the other for the award. Congratulations to all the award winners!
