FITTGlobalization and information technology are opening potential new markets for international businesses of all sizes. For businesses, understanding the realities of international trade can provide a critical competitive advantage.

Ashton College offers a Diploma in International Trade Management, delivered in alliance with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA).

This program addresses essential business topics within the context of global trade, ranging from macro issues such as the global economy to pragmatic topics such as logistic procedures on how to move goods around the world.

Upon completion of the program, students qualify for the Ashton College Diploma in International Trade Management, and the Diploma in International Trade from FITT, which meets the educational requirement for the Certified International Trade Professional designation and is accredited by IATTO. Graduating students also receive the PSC (Professional Sales Certificate) from CPSA.

My practicum program at the Courtney Agency LTD., a customs broker and a freight forwarding company, has given me much knowledge & experience, as well as enhanced my skills in International Trade. It was a good way to learn about the Canadian business environment. Being appreciated by my coworkers gave me a lot of confidence, and made me believe in my ability.
