Published On: December 12, 2015The Government of Canada is taking immediate action to welcome 25,000 Syrian refugees to Canada through a five-phase national plan. Check out this infographic for more details on the federal government's plan to #WelcomeRefugees.
As of December 11, 2015:
- 687 Syrian refugees have arrived in Canada;
- 1,545 permanent resident visas have been issued; and
- 12,527 resettlement applications are in progress.
